THE BLOCKADE OF RUSSIAN TRUCKS IS SPREADING THROUGHOUT UKRAINE

The Bearish Blockade, an action of blocking Russian trucks, initiated by Ukrainian nationalists in the Zakarpattia region is rapidly spreading to other regions of Ukraine.


Yesterday, on February 13 the blockade was launched by local activists in the Zhitomir and Rivne regions.

In the Rivne region activists of the Right Sector and UNSO have established a checkpoint near the town of Dubrovytsa.

According to the leader of Rivne regional branch of the UNSO Andriy Matyukhin some Russian trucks, that go to Europe are moving first through Belarus to Ukraine (they cross the Ukrainian border in the Rivne or Zhitomir region), and then they ride to Zakarpattia to the state border with Slovakia and Hungary. 

In the Zhitomir region the activists of regional patriotic organisations have established a checkpoint at the checkpoint Vistupovichy at the state border with Belarus. Currently the activists stopped more then 10 trucks.

Today, on February 14, activists from Summy have also announced their joining the all-Ukrainian blockade.

As of February 14, ten Ukrainian regions are involved in the blockade of Russian trucks. Currently checkpoints were set at the main highways of the gerions of Zakarpattia, Lviv, Volin, Rivne, Zhitomir, Chernigiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Summy and Vinnitsa.
