POLAND POINTED AT 90% MISTAKES BY RUSSIAN FORENSIC EXPERTS ON THE SMOLENSK TRAGEDY

Polish experts have discovered  90% of mistakes by forensic medical examination on the investigation of  Smolensk tragedy, this was reported by the Deputy Prosecutor General of Poland Marek Pasonek during recent press-conference.

"There are 90 presents of errors in Russian documentation (on the forensic medical examination of the bodies - ed.) had been discovered by forensic experts who worked at the exhumation." - he said.

He added that this explains the decision by Polish Prosecutor Office to conduct an exhumation of the bodies of all the victims in Poland.

Pasonek also informed that Warsaw appealed to Moscow with a request to interrogate the Russian forensic experts, who had investigated the case of the Smolensk disaster, but Moscow has refused this request.

Exhumation of 10 bodies died in the crash, including Kaczynski presidential couple will be conducted by the end of this year. After this experts will have few days for detail examination of the bodies by means of modern instruments and research methods, including computed tomography, and four months to prepare appropriate evaluation documentation.

Deputy Prosecutor General of Poland said that these measures are aimed to collect the highest possible evidence base in the investigation. He noted that part of the evidences is in the hands of the Russian side, which is a "difficult partner" for dialogue.

Recall, earlier the Polish side also claimed that marks of explosives have been found on the ruins of Kaczynski's plane. Polish intelligence and the Foreign Ministry knew from the beginning about the presence of traces of TNT on the ruins of the plane of Polish President Lech Kaczynski crashed near Smolensk. A brief announcement of this information was recently published in the Gazeta Polska.

The newspaper reports that some members of the Polish Foreign Ministry knew from the beginning that the wreckage of the Tu-154 contains marks of  explosives, as well as the fact that the bodies of the victims have been replaced by the Russian side. However, this information has not been set in motion, since the previous government of Poland had been at pains to maintain good relations with Russia.

At the beginning of the year, the Polish government announced on renewing investigating the cause of the crash of the Tu-154 near Smolensk, since representatives of the rilling "Law and Justice" party are of the view that the tragedy occurred in the result of a diversion, not by accident.

In addition, the Polish Defense Minister Antony Macherevich stated on the recent briefing that the previous Commission, that had been working by "hot pursuit," intentionally destroyed about 400 documents which could shed light on the air crash causes.

According to information leaks the liner began to break down in the air, 900 meters from the crash place, and recording black box records have been distorted by the Russian side. However, on September 15 the commission has stated that it has managed to to get the full version of the records, which show that  the Tu-154 had been de-energized shortly before the fall, so height and engine sensors hadn't worked.
